Popup front brake caliper id puzzle
During the winter tidy up I thought I'd give the forks the once over - no problem until I get to the calipers...
A couple of the rubber boots that cover the pins need replacing, so check the Fowlers on-line parts fiche for the 750SE 1984 and - those aren't the right calipers.
Mine are single piston and the parts fiche shows twin piston.
I looked back at previous years - single piston but the design looks different.
Pic of mine attached - Can anyone id them?
Thanks

Re: Popup front brake caliper id puzzle
Those brakes are from an Es or earlier Kat which means we need a photo of the forks , you may have the wrong forks .
TBHI have to agree with callyboy, not bad brakes and so much easier to deal with than the SEones that just fit in the rim .

Ah, they do look like the ones in Callyboys photo.
Which model/year is that?
Here are my forks (poor photo sorry) - they look ok for the year...

Re: Popup front brake caliper id puzzle
Not so fast callyboy , the brakes may look the same BUT the pads are different sizes, so don't be jumping to conclusions , best get the EBC brake pad book which has actual size outline of every pad and models it fits , this will give you the precise model of Suzuki they came from.

Re: Popup front brake caliper id puzzle
Oh... Thought this was sorted. The 550 pads look the right size and shape but (fossie) if you know of any other models that are similar but different then I will double check before ordering. Thanks.

Huh?
Just had a scan through WEMOTO's site and they list EBC pads for the GS550mx, GSX750 S1 and the GSX1100 SZ as being FA065 71.6 x 45.2 x 11.5mm
Always thought that the pads were all the same for those type of caliper

And Robinsons list the pads for the SZ as fa65
