ED2 Top yoke

Post by Kryten » Wed Aug 12, 2015 12:25 pm

Right I'm over a 100 miles from the Kat or I'd go and measure it myself!

But I could do with knowing the size of the Steering Stem Bolt. Mainly (well, only) the head size across the flats and if possible the depth of the flats.

Would be most appreciated.

Cheers
Jim

Here you go - do you mean this one?

As the head is domed slightly, it's 5mm at the "corner" and about 5.5 in the middle of the flat, high.
Across is about 21.5mm. I tried a 21mm socket and it didn't fit and the 22mm was slightly loose but would work.

I bet you're sunning yourself on the helideck... :-)

Ha ah - Sparki posted while I was writing mine - he's younger and hence has better eye sight to get 2 decimal places :-)

Thanks for that info.

For what I'm looking into 22x6 will be c!ose enough.

As for sunning myself on the helideck, I'm up in sunny Lincolnshire so spend too much time in the office. Got a week out on the LOGGS platform next trip. Will catch the end of the shutdown so will be entertaining
