Yes jap model only, supposedly only 1100 made but yoshimura had some for them selves aswell.
They are de tuned and come with updated for the year 2000 suspension front and rear.
Brakes updated to tokico and wheels painted black.
As for worth ......entirely up to you. How much is rarity worth?
If you vue it as a bike to ride and use it for its intended purchase. The over 8 grand asking price is over 3 times its worth to the majority of us.
If you are asking about the one in Scotland for sale it was a club members previously ( but you probably know that) and as such we know it. The registration is cherished and if you are of that mind it has value , its original reg number was a W reg .
I as chairman have valued it for insurance purposes , which should include finding another in Japan and shipping etc. Then allowing for depreciation , this was about £10.000 but like I said it is just a negoiation figure. Any worth is only what anyone is willing to pay.

Ok thanks for info,I would want it for summer use only,as you say tricky valuing something like this, being detuned and kph speedo does detract from it somewhat

Am I correct in saying the bike is limited to 112mph?

in theory all JDM vehicles are limited to 112mph / 180kmh by a gentelmans agreement

normally a straight forward work around for most systems

Firstly when are you really going to travel over 112 mph on a 1980's dirived bike. I'm a courier and do 300+ miles on a modern machine and never get anywhere near 112 mph!

Km/h clocks are no issue all my Kats are Kms and it's easy to remember 50 is 30mph 60 is 40, 80 is 50 100 is 60 110 is 70 anything over that is illegal so irrelavent But if you can't cope with that , a new face can be fitted , or an inline blue adapt or will show the Kms as miles ..........but will only use the first 3rd of speedo.

The CDI on the 2000 model is not like proper Kats as it is a black box, the speed restrictor comes from a sender in the speedo at 112 mph that cuts the power to the coils until the bike goes under that speed. The pink wire is the culprit.
While you are at it you may try bargaining the the front indicators are aftermarket so devalue the massive price tag.

I very rarely go above 100mph,but the value the owner has placed on the bike is very high considering it is a,speed restricted,b,reads in km's,c,is detuned, which make it less desirable to the masses. At 4-5k these things are not a great problem as they can be addressed but at 9k as an investment?I don't see it myself. An as new original full power bike may be worth putting a few bob into for you retirement if that's your thing, but I don't think this bike comes into that category. At the right price it would be a great buy, with a little work and a bit of tuning it would be a brilliant summer bike, but unfortunately the value the owner has on it rules that out.

Have you missed the point of the hyped price in relation to the km clocks , lower power etc, if you addressed them the bike is now modified from what makes it unique.
It as a bike is a real oddball , it looks like an 80's bike that has been updated by a chap in a shed, indeed it could look like any of ours , which we paid a third or less the price for. .......to the investor who knows about the last 1100 built before the factory was pulled down etc it is an investment.
Me like you. It a £2500 - £3000 bike to be ridden and enjoyed.
Ironically the previous owner was called weaver........omen!
