Gorilla grip clutch

Post by Leeb7101 » Tue Jul 18, 2017 11:07 am

Hi all, you've probably been asked this a million times but here goes.
Just acquired a 82 750s air cooled and the clutch is extremely heavy. There's no clutch slip or dragging it's just waay too heavy on the lever
I wondered if a fresh cable and lighter springs (if such a thing is available) would cure it?
Any help would be great as I've pretty much sacked using the clutch apart from pulling away and stopping.
BTW, it had an ebc clutch and springs and cable only a couple years ago.

Hi mate...I replaced the standard springs in a 550 engine with those heavy duty springs thinking I'd done the right thing giving me a quietly smug feeling. That only lasted until I tried the lever
I tore em out and chucked em over the hedge, new cable....and concentrated on a smooth route for it.
Happy days :D

Cool thanks man, what springs did you settle on? I've read to avoid the ebc ones as they are too heavy

Like Sparki says genuine Suzuki cable. I went back to the standard springs that were in it.
