This may be a very stupid question :oops: but is it possible to have a 400 bored out and by how much.I thought maybe another 50cc was possible.
I brace myself for the ridicule :(

There are big bore conversions for the 400 but as the bike is a jap import the only place to get one would be Japan.

The guy from this site has taken his out to 480
http://gsx480s.client.jp/framepage2.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
there's some awesome sounding vids on there ;) 8-)

There are some amazing 400 specials out there including a 400 Turbo that I've heard mention of!!

which brings us to harry hawkins again!!!

gixxer 1100 engine will fit in the 400 chassis with no frame mods, theres pictures of it on here or in the old forum somewhere!

I think maybe a gsx600f or gsf600 bandit would be a good choice and cheap if it fits.
The bike is running great its just that my others bike were bigger and had alot more torque 8-)
Maybe i'll just get used to it,ive only had it about a month and covered about 300 miles back and forward to work.I love the bike i just cant help but tinker with things :roll:

Get yourself a seperate project then. Always a good idea as you can tinker on that one without a hurry.
(err - I know what I'm talking about, *cough*)

I don't think the 600 bandit will fit in, I know a guy whom tried it but it was not fiting in the frame.

The idea of the second bike as a project is a good idea.

Sounds good ,but i can keep it in the garden coz its the size of a postage stamp (and has a slide,tricycle and wendyhouse in it aswell.No garage.I can only fit one bike on the drive with the car (its small coz its a new build) and cant park in the street because of Hitler style parking enforcement :cry:
So if time and money permit i like to tinker with the bike ive got.It gives me something to daydream about allday at work :lol:
