Hi Mick.

There is quite a difference between the earlier 20 Bolt cylinder heads and the later 24 bolt versions.

Borrowed these photos from Suzuki Performance Spares:

20 Bolts

The 2 gaskets have not been pictured the same way round but you can see the difference.

There are changes in the spacing of the original 4 bolts front and back of the cam chain tunnel.

So unfortunately they are not interchangeable.

Here's a link to their website:

I am not promoting their business by the way. Just acknowledging the info from their website. There are other Cometic/Performance/OEM sellers.

Looking at the Robinsons website they do state 16 vs 20 bolt gaskets. Think this is an error on their listing.

CMS-NL have the following part numbers:

20 Bolt

product number: 1117349203
supersession: 1117349204

24 Bolt

product number: 1117349210
supersession: 1117349222

Hope this helps. :) :)

I think we've had this discussion before.
There are 4 bolts that are not completely enclosed by the gasket.

So for a 20 bolt cover there are 4 rows of bolts in a 4-6-6-4 formation. The first and 6th bolt of the 6 bolt sequences are not fully enclosed by the gasket. So it has only 16 bolt holes.

The 24 bolt cover is much the same but with the addition of the 2 bolts on the cam tunnel front and rear, so the sequence is 6-6-6-6, so it has 20 bolt holes.

Be easier if it was just described as a 20 or 24 bolt cover gasket
