Brand New Fairing (Cowling) for the 750 / 1100
After seeing that you can still get the rear seat cowling (SZ so dark blue) and it's price is reduced to £110 (more or less) I started looking into the front cowling as well, as on my SD in SZ colours I have a fibreglass one that always slightly bugged me.
Anyway the current part number for the cowling is 94410-49391-80A with the list price of £557.18 - ouch.
However I found another part number (Megazip.net) 94411-49321-13L which is a lot cheaper ($352.72 (about £270))
https://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dlya- ... -11581547#
From that Megazip site it sort of looks like the item 94410-49391-80A, is made up of several other parts of which 94411-49321-13L is one of them. Further searching found a Japanese site says something similar but it mentioned the 13L part was unpainted.
So I called Suzuki directly (and I have to say they took the call and were incredibly helpful) and they confirmed the parts but not if the 13L was painted or not. They confirmed the price of RRP £287.05 (then you get 10% discount on that if a KoC member).
So I called Robinsons ( also I needed to check they were still OK with club discount, which they are (10%) ) as the 94411-49321-13L part number didn't even show on their website. Again they were very helpful, and after a check they can get that part. They said Suzuki class it as unpainted, though it's in 13L (unpainted for other colour variants?). Anyway I have taken a risk and ordered one to see if it is correct, together with the moulding that goes along the inner edge (same moulding that goes around the screen).
If that works out then that is a hell of saving, and IMO priced well enough to buy if you have a shabby / cracked one.

I can never understand the prices on these websites, on the Megazip one the tiny flyscreen for the fairing is $326 dollars which is £250 !!!!!! who would pay 250 notes for a tiny piece of acrylic plastic, got one for my 250 from webike in Japan and it cost £15 (plus £5 customs charge aarrgghh) good luck with the purchase Rob.

Yeah, spares prices can be a tad high. I didn't think the Cowling price for just over £250 was too bad (if it comes in correct!). If it does turn out OK then I am not sure how Suzuki then get to £550 for the same thing but with the moulding and frame protectors included.

If the part number ends in 13L it is painted ....... Like the emblems on the tank end in 05F that is the colour.

Yeah that was my thought as well (hence I have taken a flyer on getting it), but the Japanese website that mentions it https://may4.exblog.jp/29741238/ says unpainted (and the same part is listed for the Red Silver model as well) and Robinsons said the Suzuki description was primed silver.fossie wrote:If the part number ends in 13L it is painted ....... Anyway, we'll know in a couple of weeks

Re: Brand New Fairing (Cowling) for the 750 / 1100
It is painted. I picked mine up from Youles in Blackburn this morning.
It is silver but does not have the black bit around the windscreen, I'll need to add it.
The front fairing on my bike is glass fibre whereas this new part is a 'plastic' moulding which I figure is a good thing.
Thanks for the tip

Re: Brand New Fairing (Cowling) for the 750 / 1100
RESULT!!!
I'm sure Suzuki have made an error. Somehow they have made up part 94410-49391-80A for £550(ish) from 3 other parts that if bought separately come to just over £300(ish). Once they see a few orders for the cowling coming in at £287 (£260 with Robinsons discount) I'm sure they will raise the price (or am I just a sceptic?)
I will point out yet again B&B had the same part, overpriced on their EBay page (like the seat cowling) and it sold just this week for £329 + £20 delivery (Robinsons were £9 delivery), so nearly £90 more than Robinsons. Personally I don't think I will buy anything from B&B again as they seem to be selling readily avaiable parts for more than Suzuki RRP.

Arrived yesterday. It is completely silver, so no black part above headlamp but I'm OK with that. I did get the black edging that would sit on the inner edge to protect the cowling from the cables rubbing on it.I'm sure Suzuki have made an error. Might just be Suzuki started forking out the last few spares only wasting shelf-space
