VM32 for Kat 1000

Post by Kryten » Wed Aug 30, 2023 8:07 pm

Trying to work out what carbs I have for the collection of bits that will form the basis of my Kat Thou.

If anyone has a set of VM32’s close to hand I could do with some dimensions particularly the engine side bore. Photos as well would be fantastic!

I have a set of VM’s that were supposed to be the correct ones, but I’m not convinced. They measure 36mm diameter on the engine side.

I have a set of VM33 smoothbores that have been cleaned up and may use them instead, or do I sort out a set TM34’s

Would prefer to run with a full airbox and obviously a 4-1. I want the Kat to be useable on normal roads.

:) :)

Carbs are all wrapped up but external measurements on air box side are 55mm and 40mm or engine side

Cheers for those measurements. My VM's that I have measure at 36mm internal on the engine side. So I assume they're VM36's.
