Dead Kat Click…….

While doing my pre-trip for EK XI checks (oil, tyre pressures etc,)

I put the Kat onto charge on my trusty Optimate. This gave some odd indications that I tracked down to the old style charger connector.
Went to fire it up and all I got was a very strong “CLICK” from the starter solenoid!

Charged the battery fully, but still the Dead Kat Click…

How much is it of a PITA to change the starter motor out with the carbs in place?

Or should I just consign myself to the naughty corner with the Speed Trip, and deal with the naughty Kat on my return?

You don‘t have to get the carbs off for getting the starter out. If you know where‘s what when working the wrench blindly…

The 400 one came out and went in without carbs being removed, but that information doesn't really help you with your 750, does it!
Like Pedda says, I'm sure it can be done though.
