with the seals still inside ? Thinking they get pretty hot when they are on the bike and maybe they would be ok in the oven after they have been painted ?

Feel free to take the piss and ridicule as usual (apart from Johnr, who has reached his monthly target already).

Thanks

Pete

Yes, if you have just painted them, leave till touch dry then stick them in for about 15 mins at 180, sprinkle with salt and juices from the joint and enjoy!!!!!

Hi pete,

Why do you want to put them in the oven?

For cooking the paint? if so you can use a hair dryer it will do the job.

Which kind of paint are you using?

Hi Arnaud, Its VHT paint and has to be "cured". You can do it by putting the brakes back on and by using them they would get hot enough to cure. I was thinking it would be better to cure them(harden the paint) before i put them back on(maybe scratch them in doing so).

Dont think a hair dryer would work or if it did, it would take to long.

Thanks

Hows your bike going ?

Pete

Hi pete,
You don't have the data sheet of the paint, I think it should be written on it the cured temperation.

I have a mate which paint regulary 2K and he is using a hot air gun to cure it, but a dryer could do to as he told me.

The bike is going well!! Start on the button without choke, and without easy start, however I think the choke not working properly.
I am waiting on the tyres and the exhaust bits should be order tomorow.
I will have a look over this maybe in 1 or 2 weeks when I am off in holiday. :-)
