Hi n welcome aboard.
As Bobster says, a photo would be good if you get the chance.

Used to be a guy who raced a 1000 at Aintree fairly regularly.
That you by any chance?

Yes probably, I don't think I've seen any others there in the last ten years so I guess it was me. Did ok in the Forgotten Era class as it was then, even won one race but it was hard going against GSXR's Exups and OW01's hence the change. Had some great fun tho won Championships with Earlystocks Club, Darley Moor, Derby Pheonix and East Midlands racing clubs before retiring the beast. Racin was a lot cheaper then!

Bought the bike off a guy a West Coast Salvage in Southport, with a knock on the engine, stripped it couldn't find the problem, put it back together raced it for a season before a big end went. Rebuilt it with new pistons, welded and balanced crank, kent cams, later valves, new 2nd and 3rd gears and never touched it again other than oil changes, bullet proof motors. A retired drag racer Wayne Little from Warrington dialled in the cams for me and it was seriously quick, and had a few riders of modern stuff making excuses to sponsors ha ha!

It was in a pic in Streetfighter magazine back in feb 2002 p92 with 2 other Kats, another guys from West Coasts "tiger" Kat and black flip-up headlight one.

Got a few pics but they are only photo's of photo's taken on my mobile but they are too big to load? I'm better with spanners than keyboards ha ha! Someone tell me wot to do to load em?

cheers Steve
Yeah.
It was the forgotten era rounds.
Remember going over to you in the 'pits' such as they are, and questioning your sanity for racing the kat against the gsxr's etc.
Good to watch though ;)
