Hello to all.. loving the photos of everybody's Kats. I sold my 1100 katana around 1991/2.. after doing a part restore...get home from work,strip parts off, clean and paint, refit before late bed and ride to work at 530am.. loved it.. always wanted one..bought for £2200 GT motors, Plymouth..1989 ish..august.. TTS 1170 motor, badly chromed cases..engine sprayed over in silver enamel..Vance and Hines 4into1, s+b filters..silver bodywork... Looked ace when I finished it..fitted with white powdercoated gs1000s wheels 18inch rear.140 tyre.. chromed Harris pipe..sold it for £2500 to a mate near newquay..fitted a Bob hatton nos kit.. then left in rain a lot..sold... disappeared off radar 1993 ish.. Still on retension..!! Getting back into bikes, now kids flown, no more shift work!!, Weekends off, and looking to build a kat ,so when I work out how to use this tablet I will try to keep photo log...and then post... Many thanks .. ps Mrs thinks I am in mid life crisis.. 50 this year.. i laughed.. cheers..

Hi, your right about the mid life crisis bit, but I got in early and bought mine when i was 47

... I never quite left bikes...just covered what I have for 25years...!! And then added lots of random parts over the years... Early eBay was great for parts... Then covered up too... Clock turns to June this year and a chance meeting with an old friend and clearing my garage and I am away and running again...!! Found a before-ish- and after pic of my old one...

Still Cornwall all the same bud, most of my family are in st Ives and I'd move down there like a shot if I could. Some interesting roads lol

my mate lives just off the a30 at st buryan, many happy memories of holidays in st ives.
