Hi all, have been off the Kat scene for a few years now since I moved over here but an opportunity has popped up to get another. It's a grey 85 750, looks a bit tatty which is my concern as parts will be quite difficult to get here. Not many will post here as shipping costs can be high.

Ola! Looks ok from here, it's gonna be a decent ride from there to the next EuroKat meeting in south of France eh?
Welcome .

I take it that must be a late registration and it's the first version 750 which are normally 1981 / 82. The second version had different pattern wheels and the front was 16". Looks tidy enough, engine should be aluminium, rear shocks aren't OEM and front indicators mounted lower rather than off the fairing.
I would have thought getting parts wouldn't be an issue (if you can live with postage). I get parts from Germany (just got a kick start shaft for my Yamaha GT80 and postage was £7 from there to the UK). You can always ask sellers if they will post and if not ask one of us. If you have Paypal then I'm sure we could help (though mainly for club members). I have used one of the German owners in the past for a fork leg the seller wouldn't post to me direct.
Also a lot of parts are still available direct from Suzuki ( I got a brand new fairing earlier this year and seat tail piece from Robinsons in the UK (they give 10% off to club members )), so your local Suzuki dealer can help else get the parts list and Google the part number and see where has it.
Go on, get it!

Welcome
Having previous lived in Tenerife I know how suppliers just won't post anything to the Canaries.
I'm sure one of the UK based members will be happy to forward stuff for you

May be cheaper from me as I'm on the Peninsula... or at least I will be from next week
