A quick hello and intro.

I was a member some years ago when I had a 650 and then a Pop-Up. I joined again as I was on the hunt for another Pop-Up, the one bike I regret selling most from my 'one that got away' list.

I pick up my Kat later this week, but like most good intentions it's not a Pop-Up. A GSX1000 SZ came up which was just too good and rare an opportunity to let go as it's a one owner UK bike that's completely original and unmolested with less than 9,000 miles on it.

It came via a friend in the trade (I have a motorcycle repair workshop in Redditch) who was selling it on behalf of a customer/friend. The original owner may be a member here?

Hi Imago,

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on finding a nice 1000, it would be great to see some pictures of it once you have it. You can upload here or try the FB group we have for the Club as well, if you do FB that is.

Thanks. I do use Facebook (albeit for my business) and I'm on the Kat group there so I'll post up some pics when it arrives.

Looking at the reg date which was February '82 I'm not sure if it's an S or SZ? I guess the VIN will give a bit more info there.

Thought I'd best say welcome back ..what area are you in ...only for my own memory juggle.. Having been here from day 1 I tend to remember people from their bikes and towns/areas .

When I was on here before and last had a Kat (650 and Pop-Up) I lived in Coventry. I live in Birmingham now, and my workshop's in Redditch.

Probably quicker and easier to say the Midlands. :D
