every week end this caswell bright zink kit has been going non stop.every non black bit that could fit in it has been plated,

finally got the frame back from the painters,after a bit of grinding the tool for the head races was knockd up and they pop'd out without a drama and in went the new races from the freezer.

took the top end off the motor last week end. in the first pic the long front front mount bolt is still stuck.i was expecting shims on the rockers so tapet screw adjusters are welcome..
I did not know why the bike was laid up but seeing the pistons it was obvious.2 top piston rings were stuck,one was in pieces and one was in pieces and had a side profile of T where it had moved up and down in the groove.the culinders were surpringly in ok shape.

I got mine out last weekend. Struggled all the way and took some casing with it :(

at the nut end its expanded the casing which will break off,
when I split the case I can get a good go at it, its just how many case bolts are going to shear splitting it.

split the cases without dramas and the only badly worn bit is the fifth drive gear,

having got the top section out of the dish washer the stuck bolt still not budging I will try and angle grind a section of middle shaft away so i impact on one end at a time to minimize the amount of bits to get welded back on.
