Ooooooooooh my ********** God . Last time touched this was 3 years ago ......3 bloody years. Technically I have touched it , bits have moved around the garage.

However today the old stock 4-2 original exhaust that is going on it was awoken from its hibernation place.

You will notice that a makeshift spray bay has appeared ....a pop up spray bay! This is because the zorsts are from a 1985 GS700 ESD. Yep ..700, Californian bike that never even got ran.

Looking better
Bit of a gamble as there is an extra bit in the collector , might alter running a lot, might stop main stand though can't see it as that part of the frame are the same.

This is the paint we used on the pop up project, gives a nice even finish and although gloss isn't bling you gloss more a shiney satin ..if you get my drift.

This is me ....prep? No major prep needed , just a bit of keying as in running over with a touch of sandpaper.
It has been on the pop up project bike for 3 years now and looked OK when we last saw it in Germany last year.

This is the stuff, comes B& C in Lincolnshire , the people who do sprockets , but I used their eBay store.
£11.99 ish.

needs to be more black, if it is in any way visible, then it isnt dark enough. im waiting for speerex or rs paints to start selling 'matt black hole' paint. a paint so densely black that even light cant escape from its darkness. when they do, i will buy it by the case.

What should I gone for? Red with bronze body work and orange seat, like the impulse.
Green which apparently is iron / alien silver !!!!
No much easier to just keep it as was that way no repainting of cover and brakes etc. Also my other pop up is standard So could work out cheaper!!! ;) ;) :o

This is still one of the nicest I've seen.

Plus one.
I always thought black would look good but having seen one it doesn't. Unless everything else goes black as well.
There aren't many colour schemes that top the original but Andy's looks spot on.

Well this one ain't getting repainted,I had and have no intention in doing the bodywork, :x it was painted in 1998 w hen the garage roof fell in on it. :(

Anyway progress is underway by slowed by the collection of bolts in a tin that all have been cleaned and treated so they are the same colour as the original gunmetal colour. Looking good .....but while some are instantly recognisable , it was 2011 they were put there and that is 6 years closer to complete memory file filling up!
Gunmetal coloured bits all clean and everything.

Even powdered coated black.
