Found a touch of time to get my a*se in to gear, it may be low ratio crawler gear but it is a gear.....! :o

I will add a clear coat before they are put back together.

Did you know that milk container tops are the correct size to block brake piston holes . Aswell as inlet and exhaust on Kats?

This was clearly one of THE WORST DECISIONS I HAVE MADE!.
How does anyone find any enjoyment spending countless hours refitting things that were only taken apart because it needed to sent to a powder coaters. I mean bearings need to cme out because they would be gash if they remained in place during the process. Then to refit the bearing you have to be so **********careful not to chip other wise it was a waste of time and money..........

NEVER EVER EVER , will I ever do this again .
What a total waste of a weekend and money . Rattle cans and smooth rite from now on .
Kats are for riding not polishing ..........................aaaaaaaaaaaAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

Just wait til you get it finished and find out you've become a fair weather rider 'cause you don' t want to get your super shiny restored bike wet and dirty :P

Not chance of that, just ordered another scabby link arm off ebay ''cos had enough of fannying about with this one , black smoothrite , The fairing will now remain cracked and scratched not chucking money at a bike just so I can't ride it.

Lets face it the machine is worth the roughly the same weather the frame is fantasically clean or not and I will never sell it anyway.

No I thought I'd give this resto thing we read about in mags a go. Much overrated hobby taken up by people with more money , patience, time and motivation than I . Definatley not something I would consider again. At 53 I'll have snuffed it by the time this gets finished!

I agree with your sentiments Fossie. My 650 ended up being a restoration because bearing let go in gearbox and one thing led to another. I'm not finished but light and end of tunnel is slowly getting nearer. I just want to ride my bike so why's me master cylinder decided to go u/s on me.
