Re: SMALLKAT
Yeah, I was thinking about the fake Ohlins, but they are probably crap/knackered.

Re: SMALLKAT
Asking for a friend:
Would the front and rear ends be any good for an ED2 upgrade?

Re: SMALLKAT
Essentially they should fit , never known of that mod , but could see it working with a bit of engineering . It should only take spacers and a sorting larger / different bearings .
It really depends on how much time money the limit / budget .

Re: SMALLKAT
Had to make a quick getaway the other day and bumped into the rev limiter. Talking to JohnR he thought that the 400 had a 10,500 rpm rev limit (redline 12,500). He also thought that the 250 igniter was a straight swap, with a 14,000(ish ?) rev limit. Has anyone tried this?

Re: SMALLKAT
Smallkat has been idle for a few weeks due to a combination of weather and illness, so I tried to start it today. After about the 20th attempt, it started and ran fine. I think it's the fuel, even though I use premium E5 unleaded (not guaranteed ethanol-free in the Northwest) and Startron fuel additive. I'm going to drain the tank and put a few litres of wildly expensive ethanol-free Aspen 4 in. Then leave it a few weeks and see what happens.
The TS185, which hasn't been started for months, started on the third kick. It has the same fuel as Smallkat.
