No worries, all of my bikes got out last year and I intend to do the same this year :-)

Is this some sort of Photoshop image, or is that sand very hard? :D

It’s asphalt... so basically hard dinosaurs :-)

What do you use to polish the wheels? I was going to send my X7 wheels away to be done, but I could just polish and rattle can them. Can't be worse than a 'specialist '!

Looking great Lex, are you planning to strip & rebuild the motor or just clean it up?

Thanks Paul, it's got compression, all the gears and turns over smoothly so I am not going to bother with a rebuild if not needed.
All the wear items (discs, final drive e.d.) are looking very fresh so this bike does not seem to have covered many miles.
Will get the borescope out next week to check the bores, if all is dandy it's staying together!

Of course I will paint it, put OEM bolts everywhere, polish the cases... I am a lost cause

Not sure if you can source JIS screws in Holland but I found this place in the UK that does them and a lot cheaper than Suzuki / Yamaha / Honda - steel or stainless steel. I just went through and bought some of each size, though they are mainly M6.

I am using them on my CT70 and Yamaha GT80 and they do look a lot better than cap heads.

If anyone else is interested in them I could approach them to see if we can get any club discount.

PS Lexdba - you didn't answer Smallkats post asking how you polished the wheels... I was interested as well. There is this YouTube channel - Restoration of Everything (take a look at some of the bikes they restore) and they do a good job polishing with an angle grinder, a (I think) 4" wool mop and some mysterious compound - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mx3wZQDq-f8&t=270s
