Post by Dushka59 » Sat Feb 22, 2014 7:58 am

Hi there Katana back room boffinns!
Here's a question I'm sure has been asked a squillion times, but what's the difference between a 750 and 1100? Is it easy to make a 750 into an 1100?

Ta in advance

Remove engine.... Add larger one. Replace bottom engine mounts with ones that fit if you feel like it... Some don't bother with em but they're just a pair of flat plates

I think a set of 1100 carbs are also needed.........preferably 1100 EFE ones as theyre bigger!

GSX1100 engines are fetching good money so be prepared to shell out at least £500 for one and at least another £80 for carbs.

Just tell everyone it's an 1100 , most people will assume that anyway........ Much easier and cheaper. ;) ;)

There dont seem to be any 1100's around at the moment, and I'm worried as soon as one becomes available i get a tax bill, or summat goes wrong on the house...there is though a 750 on evil bay at the moment!
