Mount plate for Igniter and fuse box
Hi can anyone confirm that 47411-08A00-000 part number is the correct mounting plate for the igniter and fuse box for my GSX750SE 1985
I bought a basket case pop up and the plate I have don’t look right. I also have two different rectifiers.
She’s slowly coming together.
Thanks
Berti

Re: Mount plate for Igniter and fuse box
Best post a picture of the mount plates & rectifier so we can guide better.
0800A is a pop up part number ....
But the mount plate is th same as an ES ..
As for rectifiers , one is probably from a superdream ..a common upgrade/ bodge back in to day!

Re: Mount plate for Igniter and fuse box
Thanks fossie for the reply. Here are the parts.
I’ve looked on the micro fiche on Fowlers website for the electrical mounting plate and it doesn’t like the one I have.
Thé smaller of the two rectifiers fits the connecter on the loom so I know that’s the original.

Re: Mount plate for Igniter and fuse box
The larger reg/rec is that from an earlier 80's bike , if it's 5 wires is a Suzuki ...possibly a Kat...if 6 wires it's a *onda .
The plate is from a non pop up katana , yes the one you need is as in the parts diagram.
As said it's easier to source one from a Suzuki GSX 750 ES ,they are the same as is the cdi , fuse box and reg/ rec ...so if you found one complete , job done!
Like this unfortunately without the grubbins ...but they have them as well!

Re: Mount plate for Igniter and fuse box
While we are sourcing parts , has your bike got an 18" or 17" rear wheel, it only matters if you are sourcing bits for the headlamp , although the reg/ rec does come onto it .
The reason people fitted superdream reg/rec was Suzuki silly idea to send 3rd phase of alternator through the headlamp switch , so if h/ lamp is off only 2 phases operate , burning out the alternator the reg/rec....
The wiring is slightly different for the 18" as the light comes on with ignition. The black boxes ( h/ lamp control) are different with one having an extra pin. 08A00 general market ...08A10 Canada and other markets that require h/lamps on all the time by law..( it was different in the 80's ...now we all all hard wired)

Re: Mount plate for Igniter and fuse box
Thanks for such a detailed and informative response it’s very helpful. As for the back wheel size I’ll need to check.
I can now progress a little further.
Best wishes
Berti
