250SSM for sale on eBay
Just spotted a red/silver GSX250SSM on eBay in York for a staggering £5990. It’s clean but not a stunner https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186202061483 ... media=MORE

Wow. I like a bit of optimism, but that's going too far!

Wow! zoom in and it's quite tatty (ripped seat, pitted wheels, scabby engine paint) if this sells for anything near that figure my pension is sorted!
Re: 250SSM for sale on eBay
It’s a fantastically presented old scabby nail. Then whoever buys it will likely end up on here and read all we’re writing about it at a later date

Reminds me of the time I was at Box Hil in Surrey on my 250 Kat, two guys from the vintage Japanese motorcycle club were looking at my bike and they were metioning that you don't see the '400' Katana that often, I said that it could be a 250cc model and they just shot me down, so I said that I know that it's a 250 'cos it's mine have avoided the VJMC since then.

I think it’s far worse on the scooter scene with people bitching about each other. At least a stranded biker is always helped in some way.

Re: 250SSM for sale on eBay
I saw your Tansha write up SmallKat.
I ended up joining the VJMC as the guy that runs the local Norfolk section runs a really old school bike shop in Framlingham (Suffolk, that was his parents before him back to the 70's or so) and puts a lot of work and time into it, so really it was to support him ( you could still be on the local VJMC local FB group and come to the meet ups without being a member). He does use the "Ride 'em don't 'em" motto as well on the Norfolk section, which suits me ( in the nice weather of course ) I think he was grass track champion back in the 80's ( Carl Squirrell )
As an aside how far are you from the Barrow-in-Furness group? Harry Hawkins is in that group ( I think he used to be a member here at one point ) - he possibly helps run it with a guy called Sam. He did up a GS125 as a Katana that looks good. You'll see their write up in Tansha, they do some nice ride outs mainly on smaller bikes from the write ups I have seen. Maybe you could do a meetup with them once you get the X5 going! I'd like to join one of their rides one day, the scenery always looks great.
