If you do that, then you've started down the slippery slope of 'borrowing' bits from other bikes to make just one work.

Memories.......Ah 
remember popping into that massive bike shop in Brixton (name escapes me, one side of street had bike showroom(huge) and other side of street was spares/accessories and clothes) and buying a top box not unlike that one. It was for my first bike - Yamaha YB100 - JMU 670P(only one i remember - strange). Can still smell that fiberglass smell

Pride and Clarke was the name of the shop. I think i got my 550 kat from them as well. (too many grey cells gone).
