I have made up an extra earth loom on my Kat which connects straight to the battery - and a few other places where a good earth is required.
It connects to the body of the rec/reg, the fuse board, the frame in a couple of places, also to the engine , and another straight to the black and white earth wire in the wiring loom.

I know its a bit of OVERKILL ( and non standard) but these old Dinosaurs need all the help they can get !

So get yourself a metre of black wire and some crimp connectors and heat shrink and make up an extra earth loom for the impulse!

Black and white wire. Black is indicator Just so later you aren't trying to find an intermitant fault later.!!!!

Actually Black is LEFT HAND indicators Light GREEN is RIGHT HAND indicators if your getting anal! ;)

I dont think Pete will give 2 hoots if it isnt colour coded as long as his bike runs..............gone! :lol:

You are correct with ever statement there Bobster. But having dealt with bikes after someone has "adjusted" the wiring is a real pain,innit.

To that end I keep old looms so I have the correct colour to splice in. Annal or what?
