oil cooler
hi folk,
as some have previously said the 1327 will need a cooler, question is "how big"
would an efe one do or would i be better off going for a slabby one, not worried about fitings/lines as yet just what sort of size it needs
also have read the stuff on oss re efe filter cover/blanking plug/no mod
opions please

Re: oil cooler
Isn't there a Setrab cooler for sale on OSS? That'd defo do well. The EFE cooler might be too small, as it's designed for 1135 ccm.

Re: oil cooler
Think you'll need bigger than the EFE cooler H as the big blocks do run really hot.
The EFE oil filter cover does the trick, there's a piece somewhere by a bloke called 'Arnaud' which covers it well, think he's on OSS still.

Re: oil cooler
Yeah efe cover is cool for the the kat motor. It has the little cut out. As for the cooler. Efes is to small. I would even consider a deep well sump mate.

Re: oil cooler
Hi... im running/ran a 13 row serck marston cooler on my 1428cc turbo Kat, it runs the full width between the lower fairing panels & looks neat.... & it seemed to run ok without overheating... so recon this size would do you.... i also have a deeper sump mod on the bike too, so it holds about 800cc more oil than standard.
Hope this helps.
All the best Deanotek.
