I have been working on Skruffy Kats brakes and the front master cylinder has a fault that I would like to sort out.
The site glass in the reservoir is very cloudy and looks distorted. The middle looks like it has been heated and has bowed outwards.
Has any one succesfully managed to remove and replace one of these? If so advice would be appreciated.
alternatively should I carry on and re-paint and re-seal it? Or is there a suitable alternative - Slabbie, maybe?
I'm after a mostly original looking rebuild so Speed-trip or Gixxer items not really considered

Re: Front Brake master cylinder
You will need a new replacement only, you will not be able to remove the glass from another cylinder as it will detroy it. I tried this on a GS a couple of months ago and not a good result at all as I destroyed 2 other master cylinders just for the glass.

Hi Mick
I may well take you up on your offer, I'm just getting to the end of my shift and should be back home on Wednesday (weather permitting) so I'll have a look and see if it is worth doing any thing with mine.
Ill pm you when I'm back on dry land, and we can sort out tokens
