After putting the pipes back on i got a little rattle from the end can which i just couldnt live with. I removed it to inspect but it was deep inside and could not be sorted. So....out comes Mr Hacksaw and brother angle grinder Et Voila problem sorted. Saved a bit of weight and freed up a few db's and possibly bhp's.
I also have a few Givi top boxes kicking about in the workshop so i offered one up and its a damn tidy compact fit when put longways. I have the base mounted well and all i need to make up is some carrier brackets. I looked at using the mounts under the seat but its a bit complicated so i will be using the mounts from the rear subframe. Summer touring here we come!
