Kick the stand out from under it. As you stand looking at it laying on the floor amid a puddle of leaking petrol and a scattering of shattered plastic, think to yourself, 'wow, I wish id bought a real katana,,,,,,,,'

Drain the tank first. As well as creating a fire hazard would be a waste of good petrol.

Dont worry about that lot. They need their medication upped.
Have you thought about getting the seat redone? Maybe lose an inch or 2 from the foam?
Just to let you know...... the 600 is not really a Katana that this forum is about. If you look at the banner at the top...its just these ones.
Good luck
Pete

This site is for early 80s katanas and not teapots.... Which is what you own.Sonicnaga wrote:If I wanted idiots I would have gone to idiots are us, if this is the kind of help to expect maybe this is not the site I was looking for

Yep you ended upon the real katana site...... There is a site for teapots...... However getting the foam shaped helps and an be done for £100 incl recover or search net for longer dog bones to kick out the suspension this will give you about 2-3".
Good luck. Not bad bikes by the way. Just not proper Kats!

Re: How to lower my 94 600f
if we are tapping the rich seam of idiocy that you seem to want to talk of, then how about coming to a website dedicated to katanas from the 1980s, designed by the target design house, seeing pictures of these bikes on the forum front page, not seeing a picture of your own bike there, but joining anyway, and then i assume scrolling through, whilst not having any sense that there seems to be a complete absence of mentions on any of the pages there of your own particular bike, then despite all this, blythely blundering in with a question about a bike that to be frank i wouldnt cross the road to piss on if it were on fire, and then, in spite of you not noticing any of the signs that its the wrong forum, getting indignant that your banal question wasnt met with reverential welcomes and offers of advice. boy youd need to be an idiot to do that eh?Sonicnaga wrote:If I wanted idiots I would have gone to idiots are us, if this is the kind of help to expect maybe this is not the site I was looking for
you own a gsxf, known almost everywhere as a teapot, its a budget cheap bike that suzuki assembled from leftover parts of other better machines, and then in a strange attempt to steal kudos from better macines, they tagged the katana name onto it, in the hope that people wouldnt notice that it was a tin framed plastic covered piece of tat fitted with a bandit 600 engine.
so, my advice stands, kick it over and wonder whats gone wrong with your life. if you want to be lower still, stay sat on it whilst you kick it over.......
and i agree, this isnt the site you are looking for.....
but by all means feel free to pop back when you actually own a katana.
dont worry though, you arent the first idiot to make that mistake, and doubtless you wont be the last...

i thought i displayed an admirable level of restraint. i could have just taken the piss, but the cuban heels might just offer him the odd couple of inches that he appears to be short of.
