Post by downtheshed » Sat Sep 30, 2017 12:01 pm

Is it possible to fit a new k5 ish generator to the Kat. Its a lot lighter and smaller which is a big plus. Ta for any info. I've heard it has been done.

there was a post on oldskoolsuzuki from a guy who fitted a smaller genny and flywheel to an 1100rt, to improve cornering clearance. cant remember how he did it, perhaps go and have a look.

It was me who came up with this. You use a GSXR600K6 onwards rotor & starter clutch with the original gearwheel machined to fit.

have you got any pictures of this conversion. it sounds interesting. did it effect how quickly the motor spun up with the smaller flywheel?
