More 650's!

Post by fossie » Tue Oct 10, 2017 8:10 am

A strange way to do business

M&P , you know the accessories company in Wales seem to be selling 650 katanas :o

There are 2. But at first glance it looks like a duplicate posting , both bikes pictures are taken at the same place same lighting etc.........the description of both is equally as vague as the other.
222672786013. Looks ok Ventura rack , zorsts etc. Is a UK MODEL.£1400

222672779515 . Well this has been on before! It's a jap market model , This explains the aftermarket seat , probably from a 550. Looks not bad though the skull things on the cam caps are what gives it away as a previous lister. £1400.
Like I said. Why is there no write up , you'd have thought a company who sell stuff would know how to!

It's disappointing that there's no rare sought after fast appreciating future classic tag attached. They really are out of touch!!!

I quite like the look of the first (UK) one and personally I don't think the price is too bad. I am tempted though I have no space, but I could find some somewhere...
Is there anything obvious wrong with it from those in the know? It's too far for me to go and view and so far my bought blind from a dealer record hasn't been good... (blind and private has been OK, just not dealer).

perhaps they store the bikes in a big barn at the back of their store, and then the next day walk in and say 'ohh, look what ive found' that way they can then claim its a 'genuine barn find' bke and is priced accordingly.
£1400 is tbh a bit of a piss take, lol.

I personally like this one, it hasn't been restored, all the blemishes are consistent with just normal use.

£1400 is a touch steep,
There are a few questions need answering, does it charge at 14.5 v .?, what is the front of the base of seat like , aswell as the edge for crumbling rust? Does it jump out of 2nd gear?

As for price in this condition a grand max with MOT. ( though As said I much prefer bikes that no one has had apart )

All it takes is an email an a few photos.
200 miles a tank , seating position that is neutral, shaft drive that doesn't ride up or alter the line on acceleration, bulletproof GS engine ......just the job for a jaunt to Denmark.
