can anyone help please
i have tried to get on the forums of the kat clubs for Aus, New Z and Canada, but seem to keep failing.
anyway, what i'm trying to do is find some original sales leaflet which states the the pop-up S4, SF and SG were available in 23w coronet silver met.
this is because i'm having major hassles with R.S paints and it appears they don't believe me or the katana club of France.
this is their last statement.
Hi Simon,
I've spent some time doing some detailed research on your bike, and have gone back to original Suzuki parts lists and microfiche. It seems that in the early years of the GSX 750S Katana, the silver/greys they used were as follows....
1982-83 13L Bright Silver
1984 onwards 58M Illusion Grey
I can find no mention of Coronet Silver at all. I'm confident in the validity of my data as it is taken from original Suzuki documentation, but I wonder if the reference to Coronet Silver that you found on the web may not be accurate. Because bike paint is notoriously so difficult to source, you tend to find a lot of people's "opinions" on the web, and it isn't always taken from an original source. I appreciate the website you are talking about is run by obvious Katana enthusiasts, but not everything may be 100%.
So I think it's fair to assume that the silver grey on your bike is Illusion grey. I've assumed that the colour of the decal is a good match to the paint on your bike and thus have matched the colour for you. The price for 2 cans is £15 each plus carriage and VAT ie £43.80. Obviously we will include the decal in your parcel and the aerosols of Coronet Silver if you would like them back.
You can pay direct to our paypal account sales@rsbikepaint.co.uk or of course call/email us with your credit card details.

Re: can anyone help please
This is one for Alexandre, The shark wasn't any colour really as it was an Italian importers project , a mash up on resin corse and a 750 es. Original colours were red and white as per 86 model es , but the locals painted them Grey / silver, when they got them home.

no, the shark wasnt a suzuki model, it was a resin corse bodykit designed to help dealers who wanted to shift gsx750 ef's by making them look like pop up kats!

Re: can anyone help please
Hi,
have a look at this : http://gsx1400club.com/items/suzuki_kleurcodes.pdf
It shows that colour code 23W is called either "CORONET SILVER METALLIC" or "CORONERS SILVER METALLIC", and lists these bikes as being available with this colour : 1981-1993 FZ50, 1985-1991 VS750GL and 1990-1996 VX800.
Hope this helps !
BTW, the difference in shade on the pics above is just due to the quality of the images. There was only one silver for the pop-up Kat : 23W. But the bike was never sold in Europe, which might explain why your paint supplier can't get a reference for a Katana. Try the other bikes above !
Cheers,
Alexandre
