Hi all, i have just bought a set of Marving pipes for my pop up and the company says they fit without modification.... how can this be when i will have to cut the two outside header pipes? My mufflers are welded onto the outside pipes. Is this normal? Has anyone else cut thier pipes to fit aftermarket exhausts?

Ok, so i spent last night attacking my old pipes with a cut-off disc! I got the Marving pipes to fit but it took a lot of work.... these are certainly not a "no modification required" set of pipes! The good news is they sound AMAZING!!!
Value for money i would highly recommend them, just be warned.... you will need to channel your inner MacGyver to get them to fit

Top man Bob, these are the silencers we were trying to set up with making a replica zorst.
We struggled to get down pipes made however.
I have a set of these for my S1 which I don't need yet but always wondered how easy it was to measure up where to cut.
Nice to know about the sound though .

I think my old cans were pretty shot (internal rattle) so i didnt mind cutting them up 
I cut 20mm behind where the header is welded to the rest of the pipe. The header runs inside the other pipe a little so it was a case of grinding the weld away and sliding the outer pipe off.
I also had to move the rhs can mount 10mm forward to get things to line up but that might just be on my bike?!
The fit from the headers to the new cans is not tight so i had to use a little Gun Gum to seal it up.
All finished now! The cans look great, sound amazing and the bikes revs a lot more freely
