Re: is it??
Meh!
I am sure there has been a lot of time and effort put into that machine, I bet it’s an absolute blast to ride.
But basing it on a 1976 GS frame with a later engine and a Hodna front end.
It’s a Kat-a-Like.
Even the DVLA lists it a a “Suzuki Unknown”

Re: is it??
As the frame number ties it to it’s ID.
Then that should be it.
Surely?
That works/worked for the DVLA.
I worked with someone who was building a Hardley Drivable chopper based entirely on the headstock and V5 of a Italian 250cc 2 stroke trail bike

Re: is it??
Remember Taffs GSXR with Kat body work and tank grafted on ... the machining was incredible
but was it a Katana ..? at first glance indeed not until you looked closer did you question it .. so back to the question is a Katana a bike or a style..?

Re: is it??
How different are the katana frames from their stablemates in the GSX range?
Same with the GS range. Is it just a matter of a few brackets welded in different places to accommodate different bodywork?
What about the Japanese 50cc gag bikes built around the H-word clunk engines? I for one would love one but is it a kat?
