…The weather has been warming up out here in the Far East (of England).
County Council has run out of money to throw more salt onto the roads.
So the Kat has come out of hibernation and had it’s first run of 2026. Just roundabout to roundabout to check everything still works - it does!
This is how it spent winter
With a Vac Bag to protect it from the damp. Plus it had an extension for the Optimate charger.
Time to let the Kat out of the bag…..

Re: Time to let the Kat out of the bag…..
The Optimate cable pops out of the neck of the bag closed up by a big cable tie
Emerging from the bag. Looking good so far!
The scissor lift holding the front wheel off the ground has been removed.
Ready for a check over, tyre pressures, chain tension etc.
Big Bag drying out before being folded up ready for next year, if needed.
The Kat was liberally coated with ACF-50 after a bit of clean so it was dry and protected before being put away. The battery was charged up every few weeks, and it had Ethanol free fuel in the tank and run through the carbs.

It’s still set up with the rack and Sat Nag mount in place. So ready for Manc’ee Kat
Best I get some miles in to get the creaky joints re-acquainted with the pegs and bars, and the clutch and throttle!
