Re: Leaky brake caliper
Well that's the panic over! I used the large syringe up the bottom (ooer missus) and managed to get the air out. Brakes are as good as ever (Shite lol) just need to sort the mounting bracket now which hopefully Jim Kryten has got for me. Looking forward to some summer rides out now.
There rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!

Re: Leaky brake caliper
Just been reading your post regarding bubbles. I have found when using the vac pump that if there is a bit of play in the bleed nipples then the pump will draw air down the threads and it appears that the system is full of air.
I have had to put a couple of wraps of PTFE tape on the Speed Trips nipples

Re: Leaky brake caliper
Bit off topic, but for anyone who grew up in the seventies, why did the readers wives in mags like razzle have electrical tape over their nipples? and blindfolds?

Re: Leaky brake caliper
weren't the blindfolds so you didn't recognise the woman next door?
I don't remember tape over the nipples, but I do have a Japanese jazz mag that has the privates censored! A souvenir from my visit to Tokyo.

Re: Leaky brake caliper
Well thanks to Jim (Kryton) I've got a caliper bracket. Unfortunately Beelzebitch refused point blank to wear it until it was cleaned and painted
I set to this morning, bead blasted and give it a coat of gloss black. Just give it a second coat so I'll fit it tomorrow.
Thanks Jim your a star
