My Eurotrip

Post by outrage » Fri Aug 19, 2011 7:25 pm

I thought its about time i posted a few pics of my trip. The basic route was Days 1-2 crossing France to St Girones. Day 3 Cross the Pyrenees to Pamplona Spain where we spent a few days. Then i crossed Spain to Barcelona where i was taken through the surrounding mountains like Montserrat. Absolutely stunning and one of the highlights of the trip. Then up to southern France for a night then to Freiburg Germany for a few days then back home.
14 days in total with about 6 full days of riding.

It was an amazing trip and i had extremely bad post holiday depression upon returning. It rained harder the closer i got to home and it was bad weather the whole week after. Not happy and seriously considered leaving the country but it has been ok since.

I did have a GOPro camera and did some nice videos but im still waiting for them to arrive via post. When i get them i will post them.

Enjoy the pics.

I did about 4500kms and she used 7L of oil and 260L of fuel. Lubed chain everyday and only had to adjust it once. Absolutely no problems at all but i did take sufficient tools to deal with any immediate problems like flat tyres or engine casing cracks. I almost shot myself in the foot when i started it without checking neutral and she rolled forward and i gently layed her down on the left casing which took a heavy dent but no crack thankfully.

Biketent was awesome! I used my Oxford bike cover for the front and we strung the tarp over the top. Magic. Great for summer and the engines kept the inside warm until we were asleep.
