Assuming that's all true (I know nothing of diesal turbo's but it sounds perfectly feasible to me) then f**k that. Burn it.......

i once had a gp100 that got water in the fuel and when stopped wouldnt switch off, even with the ht cap off. turns out it was running albeit for a minute or two as a steam engine. made me twitch i can tell ya!

My Mk1 Fiesta used to do that, turn engine off & it still ran for a bit
