Carb jet settings
I have a Predator zorst 4 into 1 and induction filters fitted on a 750 pop-up, now the bike doesn't run right and am not sure who has messed with the bike or what they have done. Before I strip down the carbs can those with the same set up tell me what jets they run(including running characteristics hot n cold) and any other set up's they have ie, pilot jet screws etc.
Are there any peculiarities on the BS carbs in particular to this bike?
I need a base point otherwise and would like to know what's standard on these please.

Oh dear ,
Just whipping off the airbox and fitting cones wont work as you know.
The base seetings are the same as the 750 es , you have the manual now.
Has your pilot jet had the cone intake fitted , which restricts the air in as the K&N type are too free flowing. With out that give up!
As you look at the intake of the carbs it's on the bottom right jet.
My advice is get original airbox (GSX 750 ES ) problem solved.
Just whipping off the airbox and fitting cones wont work as you know.

750es carb settings are different, mains/pilots/air jets aswell as pilot screw settings.
The es airbox is the same though.
To run pod filters you'd need to alter the main air jet in the back of the carb, but i don't know what size you'll need, i'd guess at smaller to reduce the extra air coming in from the filters. much easier to fit a std airbox.

I will whip the plugs out and check to see what sort of mixture I am getting first as I guess I am running lean. I want to service the carbs myself as I don't trust anybody else and there is nothing more satisfying than knowing your bike.
Who other than Suzuki do you trust for carb parts?
I beg to ask are the original air boxes around or will I struggle there?

I've heard that those predator exhausts are actually more restrictive than standard exhausts so it's possible you're over-jetted if anything. Can't confirm as I've no experience with them but worth a thought.
Also,I think I've got a spare air-box in the cave....somewhere.....possibly.....

There was 3 air boxes on ebay last night , so no!
If you were a mamber of the club you'd have our newsletter that list aftermarket carb dealer NRP in manchester.
Discount to members would mean about £40 for float valves and jets. a tenth of Suzuki.

I will be a mamber lol from tomorrow Fossie, I like to keep me money tied down to the beginning of the month.
I am looking into the bike and it's performance at the minute, I will be stripping the carbs down and seeing what's what inside the old girl.

The best settings are standard ..........but you need to drop engine to get airbox in !

I am mid carb service and have noticed that I am running 150 mains and 4.5 pilots.
This might not be an issue YET, as the pilots were blocked and are nice and clean now, until I put it back together run her up and check the plugs for any tell tale signs.
I will let you know how I get on.
