Post by callyboy » Thu Dec 29, 2011 9:30 pm

.....was shopping with the kids in West Wickham (training them to be pick pockets) and walked past Premier Suzuki bike shop and bugger me if it was empty !!! Shop closed at the end of nov apparently :( been a bike shop there for 30 odd years that i know.

Used to buy lots of bits there when i first got into bikes.

Watcha Fossie, i use my mates shop down the road from me for some things like oil and filters plugs etc. Would like to buy as much as i can from him. The shop that closed was more of a main Suzuki dealer and as such charged more for stuff and servicing. I used them when they were owned by someone else and never got the same service from the new owners.

Hard times.

I went in to Crooks Suzuki last thursday to say hello and then spent the next 5 hours fixing a customers GT750 that wasnt charging............. :o

It turns out that all but 1 of his mechanics have left. and now he doesnt have anyone who can work on the older stuff..............enter the Bobster 8-)

I quite enjoyed it, as i used to work there 12 years ago, for peanuts.............now he's going to supply me with all the bits to fix my TS125.............. :)

It's a real shame but bike dealers are all dissapearing, hardly anywhere to buy stuff around here now. Internet has had advantages by making the world a smaller place but at the cost of town centres & communities !!!!! :(
