Hello ...
Hello ...
Hello!!! I'm Mike and live near Daventry, Northamptonshire.
After 30 years I've finally got hold of a 1100 Kat!!
My life is now complete ... well almost ... bit of work to do on it (1983 Italian import) but I have plans for the bike!
Who's the one to talk to about moding the swing arm - want to keep the twin shock but run some bigger rubber?

Hi and welcome.
Have a look thro' the Technical & Project sections and also try the search facility. You should be able to find a few threads covering swingarm mods. If not then just post a question explaining what you want to do in the Technical section

Hi 'n' welcome.
No need to swap swingers, the stock one will take a 180 section tyre on a 5.5" rim. 17" dia that is.

Re: Hello ...
Hi mike. How u doing? Welcome aboard. I'm up the road from u in pboro. I'm also the area rep. With regards to arsenal end mk1 bandit 1200 swings with lugs for shocks mounted on are cool.I'm doing that mod to one of mine now. A few years back I fitted a bandit 600 swingarm to my wifes kat. Used a Gs500 twin sprocket carrier. Cheers john
Re: Hello ...
This is it .

Got seduced by one of these at the time so never had a Katana back then

Other bikes I've got at the moment are a Z750 thats been hardtailed and two GPZ900R's - one with a ZZR1100 swingarm and the other is just a pile of bits at the moment!!!
