Mixture of problems. The biggest being the old fart who set it up.

If I have the coils wired as per the Haynes manual, with the white wire for plugs 1 and 4, and the Black/Yellow for 2 and 3. It doesn't work. If I swap them over its fine. Is the manual wrong?

Just the brakes to bleed, generator gasket needs doing again and the Front Sproket cover to polish , then off for an MOT. :D

just out of interest, have you checked the valve timing?

Checked the valve timing, when it wouldnt start and the plugs were dry.

Set up as per Haynes. Bit odd that the advance unit has two "T" marks 180 deg apart. Potential there to realy make a mess of things.

I'll check the pickups positions.
