Quite a few lads have Kyham tents, theyre very easy to erect, and the poles are part of the tent..........

I will be getting one as my last tent got left at the Farmyard rally because it was such a bitch to pack up and put back into its bag!

So Kyham !

I have recently purchased a Coleman Avior, good waterproof rating, pretty light & very easy to pack up. Only downside is that I wish I had bought the 3 man instead of 2. However have used it 3 times now and very pleased with it.

We have one that has slightly shorter poles than normal as its designed for touring. The whole thing is made of lightweight material as well. Think its a Vango one. Fab tent with no issues so far. It's got a really big porch area to it as well for storing kit

The Sunncamp looks a bit of a beast at 16kg. But must admit would be nice to get the bike in.
I spent a lot of time looking at tents in particular the pack down size and weight as most of my camping is done 2 up.
I ended up with a second hand off ebay, last years model Vango Spirit 200+, still expensive but excellent quality and at 3.1kg and stuff bag 44x15cm really easy to carry. given the money and choice tho I would have gone for the 3 man version.

Are you sure it's a Kat? Kat engine, Kat clocks, Kat wheels and forks? Mmm! It's not silver is it!

I highly recomment one tough tents or insta set, as they're also called. I take such a tent for bike meetings for more than 20 years. Still water tight, insta set system still working good. All rubber straps are now unflexy, but who cares after all those years...

Nice one Chris, back on form then

Is what we are using now, same tent size as our last one but packs down smaller, I put it in the panniers, leaves more room for her shoes !

Note tent size 1.35 m TALL most useful when wanting to stand up IN THE TENT when putting on bike trousers :D

Lucky b*gger.

For 99% of us on here this is a dim & distant memory of when we could stand up in a tent.

Me, I'd need a big top to stand up in without hitting the roof :P
