steering damper
Anyone fitted a steering damper to an 1100 ?
Got any pictures ?
Doesn't look easy to fit with the fairing in place although i'm sure i could make something up, would be easier to see where/how others have fitted them though
Cheers.

Re: steering damper
There was a steering damper bracket for a kat on the bay a few weeks ago and it went unsold. I missed it at the time cos of my op but I'll see if I can track it down. It was only 15quid if I remember rightly.

Re: steering damper
Found it, my mistake it did sell (£12.50, bloody marvellous). Our beloved suzukiperformanceparts (or straightline to you and me I believe) have one for 70quid including damper.
The fitting kit was made by renntec so you might be able to contact them and see if they've one knocking about somewhere.

Re: steering damper
unless youre altering the geometry and/or changing to non stock wheels, the kat is a stable old beast, too stable sometimes. im surprised to see one with a steering damper, theyre that long and heavy that they are tricky to get off line as stock, let alone with a damper.

Re: steering damper
It may or may not need one but i'd rather not find out the hard way, geometry is and will be altered with longer shocks and 18" front wheel,.wobbles slow you down, need to go as fast as poss, lol..

Re: steering damper
ive mounted mine under the bottom yoke across the frame i had to loose the grill off the fairing but it fits nice and is pretty much hidden and hardly noticed by most people
