I've got our bolts out... i'll go and have a measure. I know they are a 12mm head, but will measure and have a look at the length.

Steve,

Had a look at the bolts, and have deduced the following:

12mm Flanged head. Thread is M8 (Haven't got a thread guage, but M8 nut fits fine). Overall length of shank is 15mm, with 10mm of thread & 5mm shoulder between head and start of thread.

Hope this helps!

Steve,

The "Shoulder" is basically a blank, unthreaded portion.... so you have the hex head, 5mm of blank metal, then 10mm of thread!

Simples!

If you still need a pic, give me a yell!

Had a word with my mate earlier... he is confident he can repair the seat bottom plate!

The foam is intact, as is the cover... there is just corrosion on about 25% of the left hand side for about 10mm, including the lip which has rotted. If anybody can do anything with metal, then he can! He's also going to have a look at the swing arm... and will plate it if need be.

Not as bad as we expected! Now to find someone to strip and powder coat the wheels.....

Steve,

Capscrews should do nicely. My Triumph is virtually all capscrews!
