Germany's not that far away. She'll be here in just a few hours and there's a ferry or a tunnel train in between to ease her "chat-pressure"...

I ain't constructive either, eh?

tell her to cherish the silence and enjoy the experience.... they can chat on the ferry or the in the tunnel... lol

gotta agree with all of the above... some listen to music, personally i love the sound of my pipe and the wind around me. that's plenty of music for me :)

An intercom is only as good as the worst of the pairs helmets.ie if it's noisy the other person will hear that aswell as any conversation.

There have been many indeas over the years, but if people must spend money on such a contraption , then the SCALA RIDER Q2 PRO would be the best option.
it can be use everyday as a telephone /MP3 / comes with FM radio built in , is waterproof tRUST ME i'm trying this one of mine out!, The battery will last 7.5 hours if in complete use radio and phone constant) mode or 14 on just phone mode.
The pair can be set to bluethtooth joining each other and have a range of 50m or so, so can be used bike to bike or she can tell him she's not on the bike anymore!
They can be set so both can hear the music or can be set so you don't have to press anything just voice actuation.
Not exactly cheap but sound quality is excellent. £170, cheap chinese versions are out there for £25.
