Took a little while, but got my log book back yesterday with the correct frame number on it.
After taking it to Manchester DVLA along with some photos of the frame number, a very helpfull chap said it was obviously a typo and he'd sort it. A week later, my stuff turns up in the post. Seems his boss wasn't so sure, so I was given a contact in Swansea to send my stuff to. Also they wanted a better bunch of photos of the number, without paint/coating on, along with a letter explaining the problem. They also advised they might want to inspect it.
Sent the stuff off expecting them to want me to jump through hoops.
But no, just turned up in the post. All surprisingly hassle free.
Well chuffed :D
