Post by harriskat » Tue Apr 02, 2013 7:46 pm

So getting all my bits ready to go powder coaters and curiuos if I can split the calipers of pistons and seals and get them powdered to match or am I gonna have problems when rebuilding them?

Any one had any dealings with this?

Never chanced it. Like FBJ said. Most powder coaters are doing bike stuff for beer money and i dont think they worry too much about masking off stuff etc. Maybe someone like triple S who are more specialised would do a better job.

The chap I used is reasonably local and well priced he took great care and made sure all areas masked off well.
Tinman powder coating.

Well I am using a place by me called vandens. And for everything its coming in at £200 and choice of colours too. And the bonus is the lad who does all the work is a biker. Will give them another buzz and see what they say.

Its my concern that obviously dont get any powder where I dont want it. Or sand from when its blasted

Rossendale is not local fossie. Certainly when u dont drive. This place is 4 mile around the corner
