Start off
Hi Chaps,
a new section I like so I take the chance and walk the fresh snow with a few pics of my Kats I had in the past 25 or so years.
Starting with my very first Kat, a 750 from 1982
Old and bad pic, I know...

Re: Start off
In 1991 or 2 I got me another Kat, which looked strange because of colour and Speer fairing.
1100 cc from 1982

Re: Start off
first step of modification was this one:
Many people would say it looked even more strange now.
RC 36 single sider with 6" rim
Gixxer forks
etc.

Re: Start off
Last step of evolutioning this bike is (was) this:
Meanwhile that Katana is history as I totally took it apart and sold front and rear ends. 20 years of owning it was enough - somehow...

Re: Start off
As an intermezzo I had this 1100 SZ from 1983 which was a complete stocker.
Was talked into selling it after a few joyful years to a bloke who pretended to charish it. Good hands, he said.
Well - he lied. Sold it only a few weeks later when he got himself a K1 Gixxer.
That tought me.

This is another Kat we have:
Produced in 1985 as a 750 and bought for my wife Tanja, it was modified over the years.
Last stage: 1200 Bandit engine and running gear and things.
