Right then we have resent the package it has goon special delivery garunteed next day, But extra to deliver on the Saturday which would be next day,So Monday then.

Tried a courier service But couldn't garuntee next day in the lakes, and it would be 3rd party delivery, Which is what we are doing , i'm sending it and have subbed the job out to GPO.

Pedda you may be interested in the fact that Deutsche post have a stake in our postal system and own the other alternative courier system that where going to pass the job on.

However the national pride comment, That ain't my job mate!!

It's a good job you haven't used my lot, it would probably be shown delivered on the scanners, but still in the warehouse...

Or in Birmingham.

1 that should have been in manchester was in Motherwell and they wanted us to get it for the £5,25 . Our survey says------------.

Sounds about right.

They've changed the drop rates this month so that if you have 10 consignments going to the same place (and there could be 300kg+ combined), you get paid for the one* or just over two quid (well I don't as I'm on day rate during the week).
Then on Saturdays, they've dropped the £80 day rate to £5.50 per drop, I did yesterday from New Romney through Ashford to Wye (7 drops all in and 100 miles round trip) for £38.50, but I don't pay the diesel as it's a bonus day  for me.

*The latest scam is to scan each consignment separately and find someone else to sign for them.
