Pop-up Wheel Swop

Post by overbomber » Tue Oct 29, 2013 10:14 am

Any suggestions as to what wheels would/should fit my S3 to upgrade to 17" front and back without too much major surgery? If I can keep the standard swingarm for now so I don't have to modify the shock mountings etc that would be handy. Front - spindle diameter an issue? More sense to swop the entire front end/suspension/brakes?

I've a chance of a set of CBR 6 spoke wheels (120 front/160 rear so probably from a 600) and I recall Mr7/11 did a conversion on a slabby years ago on the early OSS site that wasn't too overly problematic and looked good so that may be an option.

Any thoughts?

Cheers, P.

Straight swop? Spindle diameters the same?

Yeh pretty easy I believe, my mate did it for me. Had to make a couple of new spacers I think. Used original spindles.
